Bio: I am a staunch advocate for community education concerning the destructive nature of domestic violence. I am a survivor and I understand that DV is a societal issue. It will be overcome when we together refuse to ignore the beast and begin to value and uphold the true nature of what it means to be a family. I have also become perplexed and disheartened that we are living in a world that is quick to judge and condemn. This would not be so disheartening if our skills in deciphering and clarifying our own true was not so completely muddied by fear - fear that many of us would rather let blind us than face down. This is true even for those of us that define ourselves as Children of God. I have been afraid in my life and I know the weight of the chains, but I also know the clarity of freedom. I want my world to be courageous, I want diversity of opinions that are not based in fear but in the best of what it means to be human.
